My First Grow With Eighth Brother

I first got Pineapple OG seeds from Eighth Brother back in 2022. I didn’t think much of it at the time, but man was I in for a treat. At that point, I was still pretty new to growing and figured I’d just see what happened. Little did I know, this strain would set the bar for what I’d expect out of a home grow.

From the very start, Pineapple OG was forgiving. The seedlings popped quickly and showed strong, healthy growth. I remember being surprised at how vibrant the leaves looked compared to other strains I had tried. Even when I made small mistakes in watering or light placement, these plants stayed resilient and kept pushing forward. That kind of stability gave me a lot of confidence as a first-time grower.

As the weeks went by, the aroma started to sneak into my grow space. A sweet, tropical scent with that classic OG funk underneath—it was unlike anything I had smelled before. Friends who stopped by would ask me what I was growing, and every time I said “Pineapple OG,” their eyes lit up. The anticipation just kept building.

By the time flower hit full swing, I knew this was going to be something special. The buds stacked beautifully, dense and frosty with a rich coating of trichomes. Harvest day felt like Christmas morning. After the cure, the smoke was everything I hoped for: smooth, flavorful, and incredibly uplifting. That burst of tropical pineapple on the inhale, followed by the grounding OG body high, made it one of the most memorable strains I’ve ever had.

Looking back, growing Pineapple OG from Eighth Brother wasn’t just about the harvest—it was about the experience. It taught me patience, attention to detail, and the reward of nurturing something from seed to flower. I’ve run other strains since then, but Pineapple OG will always hold a special place as the one that started it all.

If you’re thinking about starting your first grow, I can’t recommend Eighth Brother’s genetics enough. Reliable, flavorful, and beginner-friendly—Pineapple OG gave me not just buds, but a real passion for the craft.
